Fiat to Return With its 500 Model to US Market

Fiat and American Chrysler are forming a new alliance. Together they will launch the big come back of Fiat 500 to the USA. Fiat has not sold a car in the US for about 27 years.

The 500 is expected to hit the showrooms in the beginning of spring and the manufacturer aims to sell at least 50.000 during 2011.

Fiat 500 has won important awards such as World Car of the Year (2010) and World Car Design of the Year (2009).

Small cars have double sales in the past 6 years, mostly for extreme high fuel prices, making this a good time to regain old and new customers.

The model is equipped with seven airbags and high strength steel specially made to protect the passenger compartment from crashes. Price starts at $15.500 base. If you to want to ride with full extras, the cost increases to $19.500.
